Uber $1000 Bonus for Lyft Drivers in San Diego, Nashville, and Denver
In addition to the $500 bonus for Lyft Drivers from Uber, they are giving out $1000 for Lyft Drivers in San Diego, Nashville and Denver
The offer has been updated such that Lyft Drivers only need to prove that they were a Lyft driver as of 1/8/2015 with two statements, which is two weeks worth of driving.
This is a great time to sign up for Uber as you only have to be driving on Lyft for a few weeks to get this great promotion! The Uber trip requirement is only 1 but you can still get $1000 just by signing up for Uber! Uber is much better than Lyft in paying out their bonus offers.
Here are the requirements:
- Be a Lyft driver in San Diego, Nashville and Denver as of 1/8/2015 with two payment statements
- Have a car 2005 or newer (It may be different in some markets).
- Complete only 1 trips on Uber within 30 days to get $1000.
- This offer is only for new Uber Drivers. Past applicants may not be eligible. Email your local Uber office to if you have applied before.
I would encourage all Lyft drivers to sign up and try Uber. I know many Lyft drivers who did their trips on Uber, got their $500 and then went right back to Lyft. It is a quick way to make a few hundred bucks and broaden your rideshare experience to make you a better driver. With the price cuts, it should be easy to get one trip. It will be up to you to decide if Uber is worth it to you long term.
Here is my thoughts on signup bonus and how it relates to the fare cuts:
I think Uber really believes in their hourly guarantees that they are willing to give Lyft Drivers $1000 in San Diego, Nashville and Denver just to try them out. It takes a bit of work but some drivers make the hourly guarantees work. Many of the major cities went through the same thing back in September so you can learn from what they did. Also, Lyft had hourly guarantees back when they were launching new cities and many drivers made it work.
By working on both platforms, you have a much higher chance of reducing wait times and boost your earnings. Sometimes only Lyft has PTT, and other times only Uber has Surge Pricing. I switch between the two depending on which one has the higher multiplier. It’s one of the ways that I increase my earnings every time I am driving, sometimes doubling my hourly income based on PTT/Surge Pricing.Have more questions about Uber or Lyft?
