Uber Still Operating In Las Vegas and Reno

So here is a short recap:
- Uber announced that they are starting operations in Las Vegas and Reno on October 24th at noon
- Nevada issue an injunction to stop Uber from operating in Las Vegas and Reno. Original article claims that Uber is shutting down.
In the never ending tug-of-war between Uber and local authorities, Uber is now challenging the court order by the state and continuing to operate in Las Vegas and Reno. Uber’s lawyer in Nevada claims that they were given no notice of the court order, so it is void as all court order requires advance notice to the “adverse party.” They are now still operating, with a few cars in the Las Vegas area. All of the previous articles never mentioned that Uber said they were shutting down. The articles assumed they would after the court order. They probably don’t know Uber that well. I was able to find UberX cars around Las Vegas earlier tonight:
Can you get an UberX on the Strip or at the Airport
You can! The geofence isn’t so large, so you can move your pin off of the strip by two blocks and then call to tell them where you are. Just make sure to not stand in the taxi stand when they come and get you to avoid suspicion.
As for the airport, you can request for them to come to a road nearby, and then tell them that you’re at at the airport and which terminal you are in. Remember to go to the departures area. There is usually much less authorities in the departures area than the arrivals area looking for livery violations.
