Uber Cut Prices 20% in South Florida
A reader had emailed me about a price cut that is going on now in South Florida. It starts 5pm today! You can read more below.
The price cut will only take place in Miami. Looking over the prices in other cities, Miami’s rates were a bit higher than many cities, mainly because both Uber and Lyft launched there just about six months ago. Now that the market is a bit more mature, Uber wants to lower prices to drive up demand. Lyft already has rates are lower than Uber in Miami so Uber is just price matching Lyft to a certain extent.
Here are the price comparisons between Lyft and Uber (before and after the price cut):
