Why Groupon Is Not Always A Good Deal
On my Facebook, I stumbled across an ad for a $25 worth of Uber credit on Groupon. At first glance, it seems like a pretty good deal until you take a look at the fine print.
Normally, Uber’s passenger referral codes are for first time Uber users only. This deal spells that out too so only new clients could use it. But why pay $5 for $25 when you can get $30 in credits for free by using one of the many passenger referral codes online?
So lesson learned: Once you see a deal on Groupon, do a quick Google search to see if its really a good deal. Sometimes its not, like when you get 1/2 off at a restaurant that isn’t very good.
