UberX Boston Glitch Allows Logan Airport Pickups Without Massport
There seems to be a temporary glitch with the Uber app that is currently allowing any UberX vehicles without Massport permit to pick up passengers at Boston Logan Airport. It is unsure when this glitch will be patched and fixed but some of the drivers are enjoying the extra requests from the airport.
Laws states that any pickups at the airport must be a vehicle with livery plates and insurance and also a special Massport permit to pick up at the airport. There have been quite a few UberX vehicles with livery plates and I am pretty sure this is the reason why.
The app doesn’t show UberXL from the airport, however. This may just be a short term glitch as maybe XL wasn’t programmed into the region with the airport so I expect it to be added very shortly.
