Lyft Facebook Drivers Lounges are now Regional!

Starting yesterday, the regional Facebook Lounges went live and replaced the city based drivers lounge. In a way it makes it much less intimate but now larger group of us can speak across different cities.

There are now six lounges for each region of the US. I know of a few drivers who won’t be participating in these regional lounges as it has become much less informative. The lounge is for active drivers so only for drivers who have given a Lyft in the past 30 days. If you do get kicked out, just give out one Lyft and when your daily summary comes out the following day, you should have access to the lounge again.

For brand new drivers, they are in the New Driver Lounge for their first 30 days. After that, they get moved onto the regional lounges. I am not sure if the new driver lounges are regional or not.

I wasn’t expecting them to combine all of the city lounges into one regional lounge. I thought they were going to create a new regional lounge and keep our city based lounges. There is a lot of stuff we wouldn’t necessarily want to post on a regional lounge. Some of our posts are just targeted for our own city, such as:

We will see how this plays out in the long run, but some of us do miss our city Lounge. Many of the cities in the Northeast have formed their own local city based Facebook group so ask on the NE lounge for access.
